The ‘Taupō 9’: tailor-made for a world-class golfing experience

Taupō is considered a golfer’s paradise with its nine highly reputable golf courses. Two of these are consistently ranked in the top 100 courses outside the US, and the top 10 marquee courses in New Zealand. A family of nine, all different, distinct and delightful in their own, welcoming way.

The Kinloch Club Golf Course

Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, The Kinloch Golf Club

The Kinloch Club golf course, New Zealand’s only Jack Nicklaus 18-hole Signature course, adds yet again to its awards by being recognised ‘2023 World Golf Awards - New Zealand’s #1 Golf Course’.

Designed by golf’s golden GOAT, and one of the greatest minds to grace the game, Jack Nicklaus, The Kinloch Club Golf Course is consistently among the top courses in New Zealand and revered the world over. Its folded, inland-rural landscapes and links characteristics are often compared to seaside courses found across the British Isles. In 2014, the Kinloch Club Golf Course was ranked number one in New Zealand and it has remained in rarefied air, among the finest courses in the country. Measuring over 6,400 meters on championship pegs, challenging the keen golfer with difficult holes and distracting, yet stunning views of the Great Lake. Kinloch is a complete golfing adventure from the first tee to the 19th. After a game, be sure to relish the panoramic views while tucking into seasonal favourites at the Course-side Café.
