Riding the Taupō Bike Park

Spearheaded by a local family, the Simpsons, and local bike legend, Joe Simpson, the Taupō Bike Park, or known as the Spa Park Jumps, is a staple of the BMX riding scene in the Taupo region. Built by locals, riders have truly been able to make the park their own through the design and maintenance of the dirt jumps. In 2019 and 2020, high air and dirt jump nationals have been held at the park, a true testament to the caliber of the hard work of the locals and the quality of the dirt jumps.

Whether you are stopping by to lend a hand building on a dig day or enjoying the high-flying jumps, Taupō Bike Park is a must-do!
