If you answered yes to any of the above, join us for a fun and informative “Introduction to Wine” series with a focus on demystifying grape varieties, styles, and tasting really great wine for everyday consumption (and perhaps a few bottles for a special occasion!).
Each 1-hour session includes approx. 30 min of presentation (learning) followed by a 30-minute guided tasting of 2-3 wines
Session 1: Wednesday April 17th
Introduction to Wine Production, Wine Labels and Wine Tasting (Pinot Gris & Rose)
Session 2: Wednesday 22nd May
Viognier, Riesling & Gewurtztraminer
Session 3: Wednesday 26th June
Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay
Session 4: Wednesday 21st August
Gamay, Pinot Noir, Merlot
Session 5: Wednesday 2nd October
Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec
Session 6: Wednesday 30th October
Sparkling, Dessert Wine, Port & Introduc9on to Wine Op9ons
Full course cost is $60 which includes all training, tasting of 17 wine varieties and membership to Wine Club Taupo for the remainder of the membership year.
