Introduction to Wine with Wine Club Taupo

Interested in Wine? Always wondered what wine tasting is all about? Ready to discover what makes your taste buds tingle? Want to have more knowledge so you can buy smarter? If you answered yes to any of the above, join us for a fun and informative “Introduction to Wine” series with a focus on demystifying grape varieties, styles, and tasting really great wine for everyday consumption (and perhaps a few bottles for a special occasion!).
Each 1-hour session includes approx. 30 min of presentation (learning) followed by a 30-minute guided tasting of 2-3 wines Session 1: Wednesday April 17th Introduction to Wine Production, Wine Labels and Wine Tasting (Pinot Gris & Rose) Session 2: Wednesday 22nd May Viognier, Riesling & Gewurtztraminer Session 3: Wednesday 26th June Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Session 4: Wednesday 21st August Gamay, Pinot Noir, Merlot Session 5: Wednesday 2nd October Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec Session 6: Wednesday 30th October
Sparkling, Dessert Wine, Port & Introduc9on to Wine Op9ons Full course cost is $60 which includes all training, tasting of 17 wine varieties and membership to Wine Club Taupo for the remainder of the membership year.
