Tyler, who moves into DGLT from the Taupō District Council Events team, brings a wealth of knowledge on the Taupō region supported by her experience in events, theatre, project management, hospitality management and community engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration, majoring in Marketing and Management from University of Victoria of Wellington.
The new role will see Tyler focused on bringing the Love Taupō destination story to life through consumer campaigns and storytelling.
Tyler is thrilled to be part of the team that showcases the experiences, landscapes, and people that makes Taupō unique. “I’m excited to be joining the tourism industry and helping tell Taupō’s story. Taupō has so much to offer year-round, and I’m looking forward to helping showcase those experiences in ways that encourage visitors to spend more time here and return again and again," says Tyler.
Based in Motuoapa for the past three years, Tyler also is a volunteer firefighter for the Tūrangi Volunteer Fire Brigade, and enjoys spending time outdoors or by the lake.
DGLT is the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) for the Taupō District. It is responsible for enabling the destination management plan for the Taupō District and supporting the region’s potential through sustainable tourism.
