Taupō’s newest group activities on land and lake

Taupō evokes images of crystal clear waters, mountainous terrains, cultural history, welcoming locals and inspiring landscapes. And, with two brand new activities now on offer to your group, there’s never been a better time to escape and explore it all.

Celebrate the scenery, take in the best of the outdoors, and spend quality time together - as a team. We’re excited to share two brand new and unforgettable activities for every type of get together.

FourB Team Builder: Bikes and Beers

Whether you’re looking for a team-bonding challenge, an escape from a stuffy boardroom or want the perfect balance of tasting and touring, FourB’s newest team builder ride is the perfect offering.

Beginning just after lunch, your group will be transported to the start of the Orakau to Kinloch (via Kawakawa Bay) section of the Great Lake Trail. Enjoy a ride under bushy canopies as you follow the lake-lining trails to Kawakawa Bay, an unmissable spot to swim.

You’ll later make your way up to Codger's Rock for panoramic views overlooking surrounding bays and beautiful Lake Taupō. After an exceptional ride, you’ll head back to Kinloch where a driver will be waiting to collect you for an afternoon of refreshing local craft beers at Lakeman Brewery. Here, you'll be given a behind the scenes glimpse at what goes into making Lakeman awardwinning beers.

You’ll have the chance to meet the brewer and ask questions as you are shown through the entire operation, including canning and packing. From there, you'll head back into town to visit Lakeman's own craft bar on the lakefront - Jimmy Coops. An impressive food and drinks menu awaits, where you can try a tasting paddle with the beers of your choice and a delicious burger and snacks.

Departures and group sizes:

  • Depart Taupo 1pm
  • Finish up at Jimmy Coops approx. 5.30pm (4.5hrs total)
  • Tours can accommodate 22 pax on e-Bikes Larger groups can be negotiated (FourB can organise additional bikes and vehicles)
  • Normal mountain bikes available for hire as well
