Sky Waka travels 1.8kms from the Whakapapa Ski Area base station to New Zealand's highest dining experience, the Knoll Ridge Chalet, through one of the North Island’s most rugged and spectacular landscapes on Mt Ruapehu. Each gondola cabin allows 360-degree views through floor to ceiling windows.
Once you arrive at Knoll Ridge Chalet, enjoy a buffet meal at the brand new Ngā Tohu - The Pinnacles Restaurant while taking in the views of the Central Plateau and beyond. For a lighter meal or snack, you also have the option of Pātaka - The Larder or the Four Peaks Alley food alley. All menus feature high-quality local produce, including venison and lamb from Omori, carrots from Horopito and grass-fed Angus beef from Ohakune.
