The first ever New Zealand Golden Retriever Gathering is coming to Taupō, bringing together Golden Retrievers and their families from across the North and South Islands for a very special celebration.
The day will begin in central Taupō with what we hope will be a spectacular sight – a large group of Golden Retrievers and their owners walking together through town, led by a bagpiper.
The celebration will continue with food trucks, stalls, raffles, spot prizes and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow Golden Retriever lovers and enjoy a wonderful day dedicated to this much-loved breed.
Golden Retriever gatherings are held around the world, including Scotland where the breed originated, and we are delighted to bring this special event to New Zealand for the first time.
The event is proudly supported by the Lions Club of Taupō, with proceeds after event costs benefiting Lake Taupō Hospice.
