The Waipāhīhī Colour Frenzy is an untimed, whānau-friendly run/walk through the Richmond Heights reserve & neighbouring gully. Along the 2(ish) km sloping course are multiple colour stations where participants have the option to be doused in colour. 500m & 1km flat course option(s) available.
Race Day Details:
10 AM Race Wrist Band Pick-up & Late Registrations
10:45 AM Race Briefing
11 AM Race Start (wrist bands required to be on course)
11:40 AM Race Course Closes
12:30 PM Finish Festival Ends
As the race course closes, the fun continues at the finish festival with photo ops, facepainting, sausage sizzle and drinks for sale, as well as options to purchase additional colour for whānau and mate colour throws!
Although the coloured corn starch powder is both environmentally friendly & human safe, we suggest participants wear white clothing that is okay to not be so white afterwards. Sunnies are also advised for to protect eyes (you're welcome to purchase our race gear).
