Graffiato: Taupō Street Art Festival is the longest running street art festival of its kind in New Zealand, held annually in Taupo over Labour weekend since 2011.
It is also the most well-established festival of any kind in Taupo's history. A combination of well-known artists, along with local emerging talent, paint multiple walls over the 3-day Labour weekend. The murals liven up and bring beauty to the back alleyways and streets of the town centre, while engaging the local community with an ever-growing art gallery in the CBD.
The 2025 version of the event will feature another incredible set of talented artists, this time working together in a series of collabs on BIG walls! The excitement will reach further than usual, with an artist stationed in Acacia Bay, and another two painting at the skate park. This will give art enthusiasts a huge variety of settings to enjoy the incredible art.
Graffiato walking maps will be made available at the visitor and information centre.
