Omori & Pukawa

Secluded hillside holiday havens, Omori and Pukawa are a delightful, safe place for a family getaway or couples retreat, with glorious views eastwards across Lake Taupō.

The bush-clad hills and shoreline are ideal for long walks. There’s swimming, boating, kayaking and water-skiing to be done from the boat ramps and bays, and a bowling green in Omori to wile away a few hours.

You can spend a couple of nights 'glamping' among the vines at Streamblock, the rustic local winery and olive grove set in rolling pastureland.

In winter, it’s a great spot to hide away from the world with a pile of books and films, or use as a base for a skiing holiday at Mt Ruapehu.
