IRONMAN is a highlight sports events on New Zealand’s event calendar, and there is nowhere else in the world quite like Taupō when it comes to hosting events amidst breathtaking scenery. Taupō has hosted IRONMAN for more than 25 years, including the 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, and — with its legendary welcome — you will feel like a local from the minute you arrive in town.

With epic scenery, manaakitanga (warm hospitality), pre and post-event experience and incredible network of more than 2000 volunteers, it’s not hard to see why the Taupō IRONMAN is considered one of the world’s best.
