Media release from Huka Honey Hive

Huka Honey Hive is delighted to announce the arrival of its very own branded honey, now available in-store.

The new Huka Honey Hive Multifloral Honey is the result of a special collaboration with local beekeeper Rhys Williamson, who has cared for the Honey Hive's display hives for a number of years. Over the past couple of summers, Rhys has also based around 100 of his hives on the Huka Honey Hive property, making this honey quite literally a product of the Honey Hive's own backyard.

"We've always been passionate about supporting local beekeepers and showcasing some of the incredible honey produced throughout our region," says Jo Saville, owner of Huka Honey Hive. "While we're proud to continue stocking a wonderful range of local honeys, having our own branded honey harvested from hives on our property is something really special. You simply can't get more local than that."

The delicious creamed multifloral honey features rich meadow nectars with a touch of mānuka, creating a beautifully balanced flavour that is perfect spread on toast, stirred through a cup of tea, or enjoyed straight from the spoon.

The honey has been carefully creamed and packed by another of Huka Honey Hive's trusted local beekeeping partners, reflecting the business's ongoing commitment to supporting New Zealand's beekeeping community from hive to jar.

"This honey is a true team effort," Saville says. "From the hives on our property, to the local beekeeper who cared for them, through to another beekeeping partner who prepared and packed the honey, plus we designed our own label in-house too — it's a product we're incredibly proud of. It tells the story of collaboration, community and our love of sharing great New Zealand honey."

Visitors are invited to pop into Huka Honey Hive to taste this exciting new addition and experience a honey that truly captures the flavour of the local landscape.
