Tūrangi is a great place to base yourself for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, as it's the closest town to the track. We pick up from most central accommodation or from the Tūrangi Visitor Information Centre. In the morning, we take you to the Mangatepopo track start, and the afternoon pickup is from Ketetahi, around 2–3pm (confirmed the day before). Because Tūrangi is closer to the track's end, this shuttle is particularly efficient - less travel time & plenty of time to hike. When you book, we will confirm the meeting point, and on the day, provide a map and an information sheet so you feel prepared and confident.
