Tūrangi, let’s get festive! Join us for a twilight Christmas celebration. Bring your whānau and your Christmas spirit—there’s decorating to do, kai to discover and festive fun to share. What will your Christmas creation look like?
4pm – Roll up with some Christmas flair! Decorate your bicycle, trike, scooter, pram or wheelchair and join our parade and competition. Will you go all-out with tinsel or dream up something completely unexpected? Non-motorised entries only, except for wheelchairs.
From 4pm – Follow your nose to the food trucks, browse the vendors and explore the stalls. What’s your first stop?
4:30pm – Tūrangi residents, it’s your time to shine! Decorate a pallet Christmas tree and take your finished masterpiece home. Our one special request - Proudly display your whānau’s creation in your front yard for the whole community to enjoy. Two weeks before Christmas, judges will visit participating Tūrangi homes, with prizes to celebrate your whānau’s creativity and effort. One tree per whare, first come, first served—what will yours look like?
4:30pm – Add your own touch of Christmas magic! Come and decorate a Christmas ornament—this activity is open to everyone.
Keep your eyes peeled… our special guest Hanakoko will be joining the festive fun!
Jesse from Lake FM will be on the mic as our MC. Who will you bring along to celebrate?
