Whakaipo Lodge Summer Concert

Get ready to transport yourself back to the ultimate era of peace, music, and good vibes! The Whakaipo Lodge Summer Concert returns on Saturday, 27 February 2027, bringing you a magical afternoon to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the legendary Summer of Love.

This year, the stunning lodge grounds will come alive with a selection of classic late-1960s hits from iconic artists like The Beatles, The Doors, The Monkees, Van Morrison, and Bob Dylan. Dust off your finest flares, pull out those paisley shirts, don your peace medallions, and prepare for an unforgettable, groovy day out in the sun.

This spectacular milestone celebration will once again feature the fantastic Andrew & Kirsten London, leading an incredible lineup of iconic Kiwi musicians. Joining them on stage are New Zealand music royalty, including legendary pianist Wayne Mason (The Fourmyula, Rocking Horse, The Warratahs), master guitarist John O'Connor (Redeye, Laura Collins Band,NZSO), and the brilliant Ryan Watson keeping the beat on drums. To keep you fueled and refreshed throughout the afternoon, delicious local Taupō food-truck refreshments will be available for sale on-site.

Best of all, this event continues a proud tradition as another dedicated fundraising concert for the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter. Over the course of several concerts, our incredible community has come together to raise vital funds for this life-saving service, and this year’s event promises to build on that wonderful legacy. Tickets are bound to sell fast for this premier summer event, so grab yours today, support a fantastic cause, and get ready to enjoy world-class live music, great local food, and pure nostalgia!
