The Disability Inclusive Hui is a free community event that brings together people with disabilities, neurodiverse individuals, older adults, people living with long-term health conditions, their whānau, carers, support workers, and the wider community.
The aim of the hui is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where people can connect, learn, share experiences, and discover the wide range of services, supports, activities, and opportunities available throughout the Taupō District.
The afternoon will include:
Interactive activities and demonstrations
Inclusive sports and recreation
Information stalls from local organisations and service providers
Guest presentations
Opportunities to meet others, ask questions, and build new connections
Afternoon tea and time to socialise in a relaxed, friendly environment
Whether you're looking for support, wanting to meet others with similar experiences, interested in learning more about disability inclusion, or simply keen to enjoy a fun afternoon, everyone is welcome.
Together, we can build a more connected, accessible, and inclusive community where everyone belongs.
