Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and MB Century Ice Slide
Taupo’s Tongariro North Domain comes alive with mid-winter fun as the Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and MB Century Ice Slide returns as part of the Malcolm Flowers Insurances Taupo Winter Festival to skate away the mid-winter blues from Friday 3 July – Sunday 19 July
The fully covered, 10m x 25m and 100% pure ice rink provides revelry for all ages and the Ice Slide will have you smiling from ear to ear!
Wrap up warm in your winter woollies and come and have some icy fun at The Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and MB Century Ice Slide! You are guaranteed to have the coolest time!
On the ice, it’s the perfect day or night out! The ice rink is covered making it perfect to visit in all weather. Explore, create, learn, glide and slide and have fun in this winter wonderland! If you’re looking for an icy winter treat, you will find it at the Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and MB Century Ice Slide this July.
Please note minimum age for ice skating and the ice slide is 3 years. Pre-schoolers need to be with an adult on the ice slide.
The wearing of helmets or Paradice approved safety headwear is compulsory. Children 6 years and under are required to wear a helmet (not safety headwear). We recommend the wearing of gloves. We carry a supply of helmets but recommend bringing your own helmet where possible.
Please note that skaters and ice sliders and spectators assume all risks and danger of personal injury from or related to admission to Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and MB Century Ice Slide.
Risk Disclosure
Please bear in mind that ice skating and ice sliding is an extreme sport which can result in harm or injury. The risks and hazards include, but are not limited to tripping, falling, collisions and cold exposure. By participating in the activities offered by the Wairakei Estate Ice Rink and MB Century Ice Slide you acknowledge these risks could result in injury and you skate/slide at your own risk.
Keep Yourself Safe
The wearing of a helmet or Paradice approved safety headband is compulsory and we recommend the wearing of gloves. Children 6 years and under only have the option of wearing a helmet not the safety headband. Please follow our rink rules and the advice of staff.
