Midday Concert Series

The May Midday Concert Series presents Paul Saker-Norrish a Wellington-based singer/songwriter/guitarist, passionate about the power of song to change our states and thus change the world. Paul spent his twenties in Paris, singing in various rock-bands and also performing solo around the local bistro scene. After a recent stint in the UK, Paul is now back in Aotearoa plying his trade for events large and small. When not animating social gatherings, Paul shares his music in prisons and rehabilitation facilities through the Nau Mai Tau Mai Community Trust.

Paul is a lifelong songwriter, and also performs a wide and varied repertoire of covers, spanning Folk, Reggae, Soul, Waiata Māori and Chanson Française. Paul prides himself on his ability to make a song his own, bringing forth what makes a song special to him in his interpretation. Paul will take you down a winding path of original songs and those that influenced them, via the intimacy of a performance that doesn’t rely on many effects, just the voice, guitar and the song to tell a story.

The concert is on May 8th at St Andrew’s Anglican Church, 91 Tītīraupenga Street. It will cost you $10 to enter. Please bring cash only (as there is no eftpos facility), and a friend. If you have any questions about the concert please call Tracey on 0272409228.
