Taupō in summer is pretty great....but we reckon it's even better in the winter! The Malcolm Flower Insurance Taupō Winter Festival runs over two weeks during the July school holidays and has a programme jam-packed full of activities and events for kids and adults alike.
The popular Mercury Light Hub will be back, and bigger and better than ever. What's winter without a little action on the ice - the Wairakei Estate Ice Rink, and MC Century Ice Slide, will provide hours of fun for little and big kids (and those of us who are young at heart). Or to burn off even more energy, come along to the Fun Zone, which is operating over the middle weekend with bouncy castles, bumper balls and more inflatable fun.

The festival is brought to you by The One Taupō Trust. Proceeds from the festival are used to provide financial assistance to families needing to travel outside of the district to seek specialist medical care.
