Passione is an Auckland-based String Quartet committed to delivering high-quality chamber music with a clear, contemporary voice. Since forming in early 2024, they have performed throughout Tāmaki Makaurau and across the mōtū, bringing thoughtful, well-crafted programmes to a wide range of audiences.
Members of the ensemble have all benefited from guidance by leading musicians, including intensive coaching from the New Zealand String Quartet and the Australian String Quartet in Adelaide. They are also a part of the Auckland Philharmonia Aspiring Musicians Programme.
Passione plays a range of music from classical Mozart, Ravel and Bach to contemporary Bruno Mars, Ed Sheerin and Coldplay through to George Gershwin and Cole Porter. For this concert, they will play Schubert's String Quartet No. 15
The concert is held at St Andrew's Anglican Church on 13 March from 12-1pm. Doorsales are $10, cash only.
