The long and short of Kinloch Golf Club Taupo

by Reece Witters | Auld Man Par

Tom Long says people consistently miss their tee times at The Kinloch Club Golf Course. Not because Kinloch is hard to find - it’s only 20 mins from Taupō town - but because the entire facility is so engaging.

That quality he’s referencing extends all the way through to the elite practice range that gets the golf juices flowing ahead of what can be described as New Zealand’s most demanding test of golf. In fact, he’s had to drag some people off the range to get to the first tee.

As The Kinloch Club's Director of Golf and resident Head PGA Professional, Tom has been there since they broke ground at the stunning championship golf course. Over his tenure, he’s hosted Jack Nicklaus, and international sports people, and has a wealth of rich stories and quality insights into how to tackle the stern test.

The Kinloch Club Golf Course is the perfect stage to measure your game against and Tom Long explains why. Grab a coffee and enjoy the secrets that we’re lucky to be able to share from the man who knows Kinloch better than anyone else.
