Take a ride along the Great Lake Walkway on Taupō town's lakefront and keep your eyes peeled for 10 red bikes!
The treasure hunt begins at Taupō i-SITE at 30 Tongariro Street. You can download an entry form here or collect a printed one from the Taupō iSITE. The trail then heads around Riverside Park and along the Great Lake Walkway, returning the same way.
The Great Lake Walkway is an easy-grade 1 sealed pathway - even tots on training wheels can manage this one. With stunning views, you can stop off for a swim, a run around the beach or for tasty treat at one of the lakefront eateries along the way. There are toilet facilities in all the bays and a children’s playground and barbeque facility at Wharewaka Point. This track is suitable for pushchairs and furry friends are permitted (make sure to bring your lead).
So get the kids ramped up and get ready to explore the Taupō's Great Lake Walkway with the Red Bike Treasure Hunt!
