Wildwood Gallery

Our gallery displays fine art woodturning, sculpture and paintings by husband and wife team, Robbie and Sue Graham, plus quirky pottery and more.

Recent winner of the Supreme Aware for the 3rd year in a row at the Art of Wood national competition and online exhibition!

Robbie and Sue Graham create and display their original artworks only 13 km south of Taupō at scenic Waitahanui. Look for Robbie’s outdoor sculptures and our unique kinetic butterflies fluttering in the breeze!

Robbie's original award-winning woodturned art pieces are distinctive in style, showing particular attention to the finish. Pieces are enhanced with subtle touches of acrylic paint and patinas, giving an attractive textured appearance to his woodturning. His woodturning style ranges from elegant hollow vessels, finely turned ornaments and unusual multi-axis works.

Sue's original watercolour and acrylic paintings are on a wide range of subjects, include the inspirational local landscape, vibrant flowers, New Zealand native orchids and birds, rustic still life, semi-abstracts and whimsical themes. Her attractive selection of unframed paintings, perfect for travelers, are very reasonably priced for original artwork.

Sue says, “Living so near Lake Taupo, my inspiration usually starts outside of me, in the natural environment, entering the eyes, touching the heart, then being expressed in water media with oodles of luscious colour. My paintings represent places, memories, emotions and atmospheres that I find other people can relate to.”
