This Tongariro Crossing shuttle service picks you up from central Taupō at 5:15am. We will pick you up either from your Taupō accommodation, or from the Taupō Customer & Visitor Information Centre. We will get you to Mangatepopo by 7am, allow for up to 8 hours to complete the Tongariro Alpine Crossing & depart back to Taupō by 3pm. However, if everyone has finished the track and checked in early, the shuttle back to Taupō will leave early too. Please note that you must be off the track before 3pm - if you are worried about not making it back in time you may like to consider doing our one-way Tongariro Park & Ride option. We then get you back to Taupō by 4:30pm so you can have a relaxing afternoon, watching the sunset over the mountain.
