Lava Glass Studio and Cafe

Lava Glass offers a unique and fascinating window into the world of glassblowing and glass art. The complex comprises a glass art gallery, glassblowing studio, glass sculpture garden and café.

Founder and resident artist, Lynden Over, holds regular glass blowing demonstrations in the studio. View his and other artists’ pieces in the gallery.

The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. The Sculpture Garden is a landscaped acre with over 500 magnificent glass sculptures.

Relax in our on-site Cafe where you can enjoy freshly made cakes, scones and slices or pick from the other delicious choices on the menu. Sit inside on comfortable couches, or outside on the sunny patio and take in the rural surroundings. The Lava Glass Cafe and Gallery also offer a unique environment for a corporate function or special celebration.

In our Glass Blowing Studio, the public can view the glass blowing process by Glass Artist Lynden Over. His training in glass blowing, jewellery and sculpture brings a unique quality of form to his glass work. Lynden's work includes bowls, stopper bottles, vases, spiral bottles, galactic bowls, paper weights, pillar platters and more.

All pieces are individually made, and therefore all vary slightly in shape size and design, making it an original artwork. Each piece is signed and dated by the artist and makes for a perfect gift or collectors item. All designs are available in a selection of magnificent colours.

Please also visit our Lava Glass Sculpture Garden, set in an acre of manicured grounds with more than 500 glass sculptures. The board walk takes you on a 400m amble around ponds, through fields of glass flowers, or you can sit and enjoy the water tumbling down the 15 piece waterfall, then continue your browse through a native tree bird area. Also check out the giant Kaleidoscopes and glass birds and sculptures.
