“Odyssey” is Chris McSkimming’s latest collection of abstract art; marking the many changes to his life using art as therapy.
Chris is an intuitive abstract artist and found art as therapy following a harrowing journey and diagnosis of both Post Traumatic stress injury (PTSI) and Major Depressive Disorder.
From the early days using art as therapy Chris now finds solace and comfort in creating his art.
Chris has been back in the Taupō area for 6 years after 15 years in Australia.
He previously lived in Taumarunui and was born and raised in Alexandra.
Taupō Museum is open 7 days from 10am to 4:30pm and entry is free to Taupō District residents with proof of address. Children 0 – 18 Free, Seniors 60+ and Students $3, Adults $5
